Ghirardeli Square

This is a HDR image of Ghirardeli Square in San Francisco. This was taken from an area that is really great for catching crabs. I guess it must not be allowed anymore because a cop told us to leave the area a little after we got this shot.

Sunset In Hawaii

Well it's been a long time since we have posted anything here, it's been a busy tough year and hopefully we will be able to post more often. The photo is of a sunset in the big island of Hawaii, in the city of Kona. This was taken on the backside of our hotel The Royal Kona Resort.

San Diego Skyline..

This is a 3 shot HDR image of the San Diego Skyline, shot from Coronado Island.

Coronado is a great little place with view like this. Not only that but the dock in this picture rents out jet ski's at a very reasonable price. You get to drive them up and down this channel which is a huge area to go in, so much fun. Just one of the many fun things to do in San Diego.

Revisiting Photos

Sometimes you have to go back to some of your old work your not happy with and see if you can better it. We really liked the textures and treatment we did but didn't so much like the leaning effect the photo had. As we have learned we were able to fix this, and apply an extra filter to come out with this result.

Looking Up..

Sometimes you have to look up to get an interesting shot. This is a three shot HDR image of the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas Nevada.

We were walking down the street, and of course you can't miss this large structure, but as we were walking around it we looked up and found this interesting shot.

When The Lights Go On In The City...

This is a 7 shot HDR image of San Francisco from Treasure Island.

Treasure Island offers fantastic views of San Francisco as you can see from this picture. Lots of photographers go here for pictures as well. The night we came there was a class going on along with 5 other photographers outside of the class.

The Sphinx

This is an HDR image of the Sphinx at the Luxor in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This location is just outside the tram that goes between the 3 stations, around 10 PM the tram is shut down and there is no activity here, so it makes it easy to grab this image.

Disneyland California Adventure Fisherman's Wharf

This is a 7 shot HDR of the fisherman's wharf area of Disneyland California Adventure.

This was taken just after the World of Color show so the area was pretty empty, and we were able to get a shot without anyone in it. Disneyland does a very good job creating a replica of the Monterrey fisherman's wharf. The Tower of Terror can also be seen in the back right of this image.

Venetian Gold

This is 7 shot HDR image of the Venetian Lobby statue.

This is a tough shot to get without anyone in the shot, or in front of the statue. For this we went in the morning around 8 AM. Even then there is still a good amount of people to deal with, so we had to be quick and get the shots off.

A Kiss Is Just A Kiss....

This is a HDR image of a statue that is in San Diego commemorating the famous kiss that took place celebrating the end of World War II.

This statue is huge, and can be found in the downtown area, the USS Midway Museum is behind the statue. In this area there are a few other statues including a Bob Hope statue entertaining the troops. Definitely check out this area if you are in town.

The Fantastic Golden Gate Bridge

Sorry for not posting in awhile, a lot has been going on and our computer crapped out, but we have it back now so hopefully things will settle down so we can post more.

This is a HDR image of the Golden Gate Bridge shot from the Marin Headlines. We had to go pick up someone at the airport so we had some time to kill so we stopped by here to grab some shots. The night was fantastic, not cold, clear and the water was very calm, all making for great conditions to shoot. Enter If You Dare

This is a 5 shot HDR image of the Haunted Mansion ride at the Disneyland Resort.

This was taken a little before closing time so there was not a lot of people around, one thing that was odd though is all the strollers that were parked outside. We were taking the shot for about 20 minutes or so and no one came to claim them. Maybe they were not lucky enough to make it out of the mansion, we may never know.

You Spin Me Round and Round....

Here is a 3 shot HDR image of the Mickey's Fun Wheel, in Disneyland California Adventure. We then converted it to B&W.

The day was a bit cloudy and overcast which makes for good pictures, but the clouds were a bit dull and made the scene look strange with vibrant colors from the rides but kind of a dull sky. Converting it to Black and White really makes the whole thing pull together well.

One Is The Loneliest Number

Here is a rework of an old image we had. It is a single HDR image of the Lone Cypress and converted it to Black & White via Silver Efex Pro 2.

We were not happy with the color image especially since it was a hazy day. So we tried to convert it to black and white and were more pleased with the results.

The City of Love...

Well almost, this is an HDR image of the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada. It was then converted to Black and White using Silver Efex Pro 2.

Las Vegas is such a great city, where else can you visit New York, Paris, Italy, Egypt, etc... in just the span of a couple of miles? The replicas these casinos make of famous landmarks are amazing. Not only that you have the fun of everything else there is to do in the city, and plenty of photo spots.
