Ferry Building From Above

This is a shot of the San Francisco Ferry Building. I have always wanted to get a nice shot of the building but the lights below make it hard to do that, after some exploring around I found this place. This is shot from the Hyatt across the street in their fire escape. As I was shooting this I surprised a worker there, he opened up the door to get some fresh air and he saw me with my tripod setup taking this shot, definitely not what he was expecting on his break.

Cars Land

This is a shot of Cars Land at Disneyland. This was shot after closing and during the World of Color so the street was pretty empty.

The new land is really something, you really feel like your walking around in the world of Cars. Although the rides are just ok, the experience of the land is great. Also the detail at night with all the neon on the street is fantastic.

Paradise Pier Another Look

Here is another HDR image of Paradise Pier at Disney's California Adventure. There is just so many nice angles to capture around this area. We got lucky enough to capture Mickey's Fun Wheel in motion, most of our other shots it had been not moving.

Bay Bridge Lights

This is a HDR image of the San Francisco Bay Bridge, with an art project lighting up the cables that connect the towers. This is a project that will go on for two years, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Bay Bridge. The cost of the project was 8 million dollars all funded by the artist, and the lights during the span are never supposed to repeat their pattern.

I got lucky to get this shot, on the night I went up there, there was a world wide darkness, I don't recall what the occasion was but even Las Vegas was dark. So when I arrived here the lights were not running so I didn't think I would get the shot. I stopped in for a bite to eat, and by the time I came out the lights were on.

Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln

This is a HDR image of Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln at Disneyland, it was then converted to black and white.

This is my first memory of Disneyland, as a kid we my family made their way out here for the first time, and after a 8 hour car ride the day before, I could not be more excited to arrive and start with all the fun. My Dad however had us go here first which was torture, who wants to see some history as a kid at Disneyland? Well now that I am older I have an appreciation for history, especially presidential history, I have come to enjoy this attraction.

Sleeping Beauty Castle Two Looks

Here are a couple of shots of the the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland. They are both 3 shot HDR images, the second one we converted to infrared. I'm not really sure which one is better so that is why I'm posting both.

This was taken just before a fireworks show for the evening so the castle was roped off so nobody could walk in. The cast members were nice enough to let me get close to get this shot. So it was a great chance to get a shot of the castle with nobody in the shot.

Water Dancing Around The Eiffel Tower

Here is a single shot HDR image of the eiffel tower in Las Vegas Nevada. This was taken across the street at the Belliago during the water show that happens every half hour or so. There are so many different areas to take in the water show so it's always pretty interesting.

Ghirardeli Square

This is a HDR image of Ghirardeli Square in San Francisco. This was taken from an area that is really great for catching crabs. I guess it must not be allowed anymore because a cop told us to leave the area a little after we got this shot.

Sunset In Hawaii

Well it's been a long time since we have posted anything here, it's been a busy tough year and hopefully we will be able to post more often. The photo is of a sunset in the big island of Hawaii, in the city of Kona. This was taken on the backside of our hotel The Royal Kona Resort.

Palace Of Fine Arts Infrared

This is a one shot HDR image of the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco California, we then converted it to infrared.

This is a really nice place in San Francisco to relax, take in the sun (when there is some), read a book, etc..

Sometimes you have to look up to get an interesting shot. This is a three shot HDR image of the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas Nevada.

We were walking down the street, and of course you can't miss this large structure, but as we were walking around it we looked up and found this interesting shot.

Disneyland California Adventure Fisherman's Wharf

This is a 7 shot HDR of the fisherman's wharf area of Disneyland California Adventure.

This was taken just after the World of Color show so the area was pretty empty, and we were able to get a shot without anyone in it. Disneyland does a very good job creating a replica of the Monterrey fisherman's wharf. The Tower of Terror can also be seen in the back right of this image.

This is 7 shot HDR image of the Venetian Lobby statue.

This is a tough shot to get without anyone in the shot, or in front of the statue. For this we went in the morning around 8 AM. Even then there is still a good amount of people to deal with, so we had to be quick and get the shots off.

A Kiss Is Just A Kiss....

This is a HDR image of a statue that is in San Diego commemorating the famous kiss that took place celebrating the end of World War II.

This statue is huge, and can be found in the downtown area, the USS Midway Museum is behind the statue. In this area there are a few other statues including a Bob Hope statue entertaining the troops. Definitely check out this area if you are in town.

Enter If You Dare

This is a 5 shot HDR image of the Haunted Mansion ride at the Disneyland Resort.

This was taken a little before closing time so there was not a lot of people around, one thing that was odd though is all the strollers that were parked outside. We were taking the shot for about 20 minutes or so and no one came to claim them. Maybe they were not lucky enough to make it out of the mansion, we may never know.

One Is The Loneliest Number

Here is a rework of an old image we had. It is a single HDR image of the Lone Cypress and converted it to Black & White via Silver Efex Pro 2.

We were not happy with the color image especially since it was a hazy day. So we tried to convert it to black and white and were more pleased with the results.

A Great Sunset

This is a one exposure HDR image of a sunset taken on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu Hawaii.

This was such a great night for taking pictures, the clouds were very interesting, the sun was casting very nice light on them, and the beach that night was very peaceful, such a great way to end a day in Hawaii. One of our favorite things in Hawaii was to be at the beach for great sunsets like this. If you go be sure to check some out.
